A talk by Prof Derek Macallan

Professor of Infectious Diseases & Medicine

Derek joined the NHS as a ‘Junior Houseman’ at The London Hospital, Whitechapel in 1983. He came to St George’s in 1988 and became a Consultant in Infectious Diseases & Medicine in 1998. Just over 40 years after joining the NHS he has stepped down from regular clinics and ward rounds. In this talk he will reflect on what he has learnt along the way.
