Dignity at Work Standards

Dear colleagues,

I’m delighted to join St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as a Clinical Leadership Fellow in Dignity. During this year long post, I will be working with you all to improve our collective working environment.

I am a St George’s, University of London alumni, therefore I am accustomed its charms and thrilled to return here to be part of an important project. In my time away, I worked mainly across Northeast London hospitals, where I completed my foundation and IMT training.

My main role is in implementing the Dignity at Work Standards project and working towards its ultimate ambition of advocating and advertising for an environment that is free from bullying and harassment. There are numerous phases to this project, firstly we would like to hear from all those who play an active part in the function of this trust about their experience of dignity in the workplace. After the listening phase, we hope to design and implement focused interventions to improve the overall work environment. We hope the lessons we learn here can be used nationwide across the NHS organisations to enrich the workplace culture.

Your input at all stages of the project is vitally important to its success. Therefore, please get in touch with your questions, ideas and suggestions. I look forward to working with you all!

Best wishes,

Dr Nikki Jegatheeswaran
