The neuro-ophthalmology department undertakes diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting neurological control of the visual system, including vision, control of eye movement and pupillary reflexes.

Patients who are referred to the neuro-ophthalmology department often have other long-term medical conditions.  The neuro-ophthalmology department works closely with clinical teams from across St George’s and other hospitals in south west London and Surrey and with GPs and community nursing teams to help patients manage their condition and symptoms outside of hospital.
