Obstetric Neurology

The obstetric neurology clinic provides specialist care for pregnant women with existing neurological conditions, such as epilepsy and multiple sclerosis.

The department provides neurological assessment and investigation during pregnancy, coordinating care between all of the clinicians providing care to the expecting mother during her pregnancy, labour and after giving birth to make sure that both mother and baby are as safe as they can be.

The service also conducts investigations into neurological symptoms presenting in pregnant women with no known existing neurological conditions.
