The Douglas Bader Foundation is a charity St George’s supports who work alongside supporting individuals with a disability. They organise exciting events and activities throughout the year often life changing and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, where they encourage amputees and individuals with disabilities to participate.

Become a Friend of the Foundation

The foundation invites supports of their work to become a friend of the Foundation, to help raise funds for the charity. To become a Friend for a year for just £20, or a Corporate Friend for £200 a year.

Volunteering

The Douglas Bader Foundation is always looking for volunteers to help with various aspects of the charity. From office administration, organising in-house events, driving a transport vehicle or to organise and event of activity on behalf of the foundation.

Participation

A number of exciting events and activities are organised throughout the year to encourage amputees and individuals with disabilities to participate alongside able bodied individuals. Exciting and life-changing local and international challenges are held including walking the Great Wall of China or rowing a dragon boat.
