Ivory Team

This Midwifery Team is based in the Antenatal Clinic, Ground floor, Lanesborough Wing. The team looks after those who live in an area not covered by one of our community teams.

If this is your first pregnancy, you will usually be seen about 10 times.  If this is a second or subsequent pregnancy, you will usually be seen about 7 times.

At each appointment you will need to provide a urine sample, and your blood pressure will be taken.  This is to check whether you are keeping healthy and your midwife will discuss the results with you.  Blood tests will be taken during your appointments at 28 and 36 weeks.

If you need to change your appointment or are running late, please contact the booking office on:

020 8725 1914 / 020 8725 1915 / 020 8725 1916

Specialist Teams

Some women may require more specialist midwifery care in pregnancy.  If this is the case, the midwife who sees you at your first booking appointment will make the appropriate referral.  The specialist midwifery team will then contact you to plan your on-going care.

At present the specialist teams we have are:

  • Maternal Medicine
  • Diabetes
  • Mental Health
  • Teenage (Jade)
