Consultant-led care will be recommended if you have any problems in pregnancy or previous medical history which may effect your pregnancy.
Sometimes in pregnancy, you may need to see a doctor (Obstetrician) for specialist care. Each midwifery team is linked to a named Consultant in maternity who will work with your named midwife to personalise your care. If your midwife refers you to a Consultant, you will be sent an appointment to attend the Antenatal Clinic, Ground Floor, Lanesborough Wing.
