24 Hours in A&E – Channel 4

St George’s has been the home of Channel 4’s 24 Hours in A&E between 2014 – 2022.

We have been incredibly proud to be the face of such a hugely popular documentary series that gives viewers an inside view of the everyday life of our Emergency Department staff as they treat the hundreds of patients that come through our doors each day.

It has been a huge privilege to be able to showcase the work of our staff on one of the most popular TV shows in the UK – and the longest running documentary series.

Our Emergency Department is one of the most advanced and busiest in the world. It’s a place where stories of life, love and loss unfold every day.

In 2018, we celebrated our 100th episode of 24 Hours in A&E at St George’s.

Dr Will Glazebrook, Consultant in Emergency Medicine, shared why we love being home of 24 Hours in A&E – “Why do we keep doing it? Because it helps us put our best foot forward.”

In 2021, after seven years at St George’s, we announced that 24 Hours in A&E will be moving to a new home in Nottingham. St George’s remains the home of 24 Hours in A&E while new episodes from the Trust’s final filming period in 2020 continue to be broadcast on Channel 4.

We live tweet during every episode, so make sure to follow us on Twitter @StGeorgesTrust and tag #24HrsAE in your tweets to share what you think of each episode!
