Key documentation and guidance for the delivery of clinical teaching and support for students on placement – Academic Year 2025–26

Key documentation and guidance needed for the 2025-26 academic year, along with other useful documents to assist teams in their delivery of clinical teaching and their support of students on placement:

1. Key information & introduction to 2025-26

2. MBBS key contacts

3. Assessment of St George’s students on placement (guidance for assessors)

4. SGUL MBBS curriculum brochure 2024-25

5. Summary of student welfare and support

6. MAST training

NOTE:

  1. All documents have been revised for this academic year. The MAST training document is a new addition and outlines the mandatory training students receive at City St George’s, prior to starting clinical placements.
  2. The MBBS Quality Standards for Clinical Placements are undergoing review. We hope to send these to you in the coming week/s.
  3. The newly issued MBBS Curriculum Brochure for 2025-26 refers to curriculum content revised during the Periodic Review. This is not yet relevant to the clinical years. Instead, we have attached the MBBS Curriculum Brochure for 2024-25, which is still relevant to the T, P and F Year cohorts. The new version will be issued to placement providers when it becomes relevant to the cohorts taught.
