General urology and benign prostate disease
On this page:
Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a very common condition affecting men over 50 years old as a result of enlargement of the prostate gland. Up to 75% of men over 70 have urinary symptoms as a result of prostate enlargement. Symptoms can be controlled with lifestyle changes and medication or treated with surgery when more symptoms are more bothersome.
We offer the following surgical treatments for benign prostate disease:
- Bipolar transurethral resection of prostate (b-TURP)
- Transurethral enucleation of prostate with bipolar (TUEB)
- Prostate artery embolization (PAE)
We will be introducing soon UroLift®, a novel prostatic urethral lift implant as well as Greenlight Laser for photoevaporisation of the prostate (PVP).
