Davendra completed undergraduate studies at Trinity College Dublin. Post graduation, he spent time in Ireland, Trinidad and the UK where he also served for 15 years as a medical officer in the Royal Air Force. Specialist training was completed in East Anglia and London. He was appointed an OBE in the 2015 Birthday Honours List.
Davendra offers both general and specialist urological care. This includes the management of bothersome urinary symptoms and BPH, urinary tract infections, penile and scrotal conditions, and erectile dysfunction. His special interests include trauma to the genitourinary system, urethral strictures, urinary problems due to neurological conditions, and post-prostatectomy urinary incontinence.
He is an elected member of the European Association of Urology Trauma Guideline Panel and lectures on numerous trauma related courses both nationally and internationally. His research interests include trauma and male incontinence. He has over 20 peer reviewed publications and book chapters. He is the Divisional Clinical Information Officer and part of the St George's ICT modernisation plan.
Davendra enjoys life outside work. He is a level two LTA certified tennis coach assistant. He treasures the time spent with his family in London.
