The functional urology team specialises in the assessment and treatment of problems of the continence mechanism and the bladder commonly as a result of neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, stroke, Parkinson’s disease or traumatic spinal injuries.
We offer investigations and treatments such as:
- Urodynamic tests (CMG)
- Video urodynamic tests (VCMG)
- Cystoscopy and botulinum toxin (Botox®) injection
- Ileal conduit diversion
- Suprapubic catheter insertion
- Artificial urethral sphincter or sling for male incontinence
