Mr Sri is a consultant urological surgeon with a specialist interest in kidney and prostate cancer, robotic reconstruction, and day case BPH. He has expertise in utilizing minimally invasive surgical techniques and robotic technology to address a range of benign and malignant urological conditions. He is one of a small number of surgeons in the UK who specialise in high volume robotic retroperitoneal (space behind the abdomen/peritoneum) renal / upper tract surgery.

Professional Profile 

Mr Sri was appointed Consultant Urologist at St George’s Hospital, in October 2021, sub-specializing in Robotic Kidney and Prostate Cancer Surgery. He has served as the cancer lead for Urology, and currently leads the Kidney Cancer service within the South West London referral network and major trauma at St George’s Hospital. Mr Sri graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2011 with Double First Class Hons and Distinction. His higher specialist training in London included fellowships in Robotic Uro-Oncology and Reconstruction at St George’s Hospital and Frimley Park Hospital in the UK. Within a broad scope of practice encompassing general urological disorders in both men and women, his expertise lies in utilizing robotic surgery in delivering cancer and benign / reconstructive care.

He has successfully introduced retroperitoneal robotic nephron sparing surgery to South West London, establishing it as the standard of care in kidney cancer management for our region. It offers benefits such as shorter hospital stay (1 day), quicker patient recovery and return to work over conventional approaches. He has published in peer reviewed journals on topics related to prostate, kidney and bladder cancer and robotic reconstruction. He is committed to surgical teaching and training and both local and national levels, having served as faculty member and speaker at various courses and conferences (including the FRCS Urology Course).

He is considered a high-volume robotic surgeon and his extensive exposure and experience within the robotic sphere has resulted in him taking mentorship and training roles at St George’s within robotic kidney cancer surgery, female reconstruction (Robotic Colposuspension) and paediatric urology.
