Meet The Team
Selina Overy
Principal Physiotherapist
Selina qualified as a physiotherapist from St George’s Medical school in 2002. She specialised in Pelvic health physiotherapy in 2007 and has 15 years of working within the NHS within pelvic health. She shares her role as Clinical lead with Isabelle Carlisle, together they jointly run the Pelvic health service across St Georges, Queen Mary’s and St John’s Therapy Centre. Selina is currently undertaking an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Pelvic Health at Brunel University. Her special interests include Women’s Health, holistic care and well-being for all.
Isabelle Sweers
Advanced Pelvic Health Practitioner
Isabelle graduated from the University of Edinburgh with BSc Hons in physiology. She then completed the accelerated MSc in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret’s University in 2006. After 8 years of working as a specialised MSK physiotherapist at Imperial College London and St Georges Hospital, she specialised further into pelvic health physiotherapy. She has worked within the Pelvic Health team here at St George’s since 2013 and has been joint clinical Lead since 2021. She has post graduate qualifications in Pilates and acupuncture and is currently completing an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice at the University of Brunel. She is passionate about promoting pelvic health in the community and to service users to empower both men and women to manage their symptoms. She has a specialist interest in post-natal care and pelvic pain focusing on a holistic and patient-centred approach to achieve their goals.
Andrianna Hadjimichael
Highly Specialised Physiotherapist
Andrianna qualified from King’s College London in 2012. She has been working for the NHS since then and started specialising in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy in 2016. She joined St George’s in 2019 and treats individuals with bladder or bowel incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse or pelvic pain conditions.
Kate O’Brien
Highly Specialised Physiotherapist
Kate qualified from St. George’s University Hospital in 2016 with an MSc Physiotherapy degree, following the completion of her undergraduate qualification in Sports and Exercise Science in the University of Limerick.
Since qualifying Kate completed her junior rotations including a 12month period in Pelvic Health, before progressing to a specialist Musculoskeletal physiotherapist position in 2019. In this period she worked in MSK rehabilitation, major trauma and returned to pelvic health. In 2021 Kate became a team lead in Pelvic health and focuses her attention on progressing her skills in this area. She is qualified in APPI pilates and AACP acupuncture. She has recently enrolled in a pelvic health MSc module. Kate is passionate on working in collaboration with a her patients and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive the best quality of care
Jennifer Travell
Specialised Physiotherapist
Jenny Graduated from St Georges University with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2013. She has since stayed at St Georges completing junior rotations in Respiratory, Neurological rehab and MSK. She specialised in MSK in 2015 and gained experience across the department including Trauma and Orthopaedics and Hand Therapy. She has now a settled in Pelvic Health and has a passion for treating a range of MSK and urogynae conditions. Jenny is also qualified in acupuncture and Pilates and runs private pre and post-natal Pilates courses as well as working privately in pelvic health.
Emily Cowles
Specialised Physiotherapist
Emily qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2013. She has been working for the NHS for since 2014; prior to that she volunteered for the MS Society. She is has worked in a variety of different Physiotherapy Departments before specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She is due to complete her Acupuncture course in 2020. Emily is currently completing a rotation in Pelvic Health.
