General Hand Therapy Exercises
Below are some commonly prescribed hand therapy exercises. Please access the information that is applicable to you.
Your therapist will review your progress and adjust your therapy programme accordingly over the weeks and months following injury or surgery. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Hand Therapy department on 0208 725 1038.

Scar Massage and Management
It is important after an injury or surgery to ensure the scar maintains flexibility and avoids becoming too thick. Below are strategies we use to help manage scars post injury/operatively. Scar massage is a way of softening and flattening scars. Your therapist will advise you when it is appropriate to begin massage, as it is not appropriate to massage a scar that is still open or if there are any signs of infection.
