Mr Navneet Singh
Clinical interests
Mr Singh is a consultant neurosurgeon at St George’s NHS Foundation Trust and has clinical interests in neuro-oncology and paediatric neurosurgery as well as general neurosurgery including spine and trauma.
Professional profile
Mr Singh qualified from the University of Manchester in 2003 and completed his junior surgical training in Sydney, Australia and Edinburgh before completing higher neurosurgical training in Manchester and Preston, Lancashire.
He obtained his PhD in cerebral ischaemia and brain inflammation after subarachnoid haemorrhage under the supervision of Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell at the University Manchester. During his training he also completed a master’s degree in healthcare leadership from the University of Birmingham and Manchester Business School as well as the Elizabeth Garret Anderson programme from the NHS Leadership Academy.
After being awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2015, he gained subspecialist training in paediatric neurosurgery at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, Canada under the supervision of Professor Paul Steinbok. He undertook the brain tumour fellowship at St George’s Hospital to learn techniques including awake surgery and mapping and using 5-ALA.
He has published widely in peer reviewed journals and presented at conferences and meetings nationally and internationally. He is a member of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons.
