The Ponseti team at St. George’s Hospital consists of three specialist paediatric physiotherapists and three St George’s-based paediatric orthopaedic consultants. The physiotherapy team lead is Aisling Russell, while the orthopaedic lead is Miss Yael Gelfer, Paediatric Orthopaedic Consultant.
The team runs outpatient clinics, which cover antenatal counselling, diagnosis and initial assessment, Ponseti casting, tenotomies, boots and bar reviews, rehabilitation and follow-up until skeletal maturity.
