Alex Chung is a Laparoscopic General & Colorectal Surgeon who has been a consultant at St. Georges Hospital since 2013. He specialises in colorectal conditions including Colorectal Cancer, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Ulcerative Colitis & Crohn’s Disease) and Intestinal Failure. He is also a full trained Endoscopist.

Born and brought up locally to St. George’s, he was trained at University College London Medical School BSc, MB, BS. And his higher surgical training was in the South West Thames Region. A doctorate of Medicine (MD) was awarded from the University of London in 2011 following postgraduate research at St. Mark’s Hospital and he completed a Colorectal Fellowship at St. Thomas’ Hospital prior to becoming a consultant at St. George’s Hospital.
