Endoscopy is a procedure that allows healthcare professionals to look inside parts of your body using a thin, flexible tube with a small camera.
Depending on the procedure, the endoscope may be passed through your mouth, nose or bottom. The camera sends images to a screen, allowing the clinical team to examine the inside of your body.
Endoscopy can help to diagnose symptoms, take tissue samples for testing and, in some cases, provide treatment.
