Dr Teresa Parras
Clinical interests
Dr Parras' main clinical practice is trauma/orthopaedics collaborating with the acute pain team as well. She is an expert regional anaesthetist with special interest and research areas in the novel thoracic wall blocks (pecs and serratus plane plock), perineal area and quadratus lumborum block.

Qualification : MBBS, FRCA, MSc, PhD
Education / Awards: She performed an MSc in 2008 and completed her training period in 2010 in Spain. She went on to work as a Consultant in Spain for almost 3 years before becoming a Consultant in the UK. She obtained the FRCA equivalent in 2012, and finished her PhD in 2013. She obtained two scholarships to carry out two research projects in 2010 and 2011 and award of the best presentation in the “57th AAEAR Anaesthesia Meeting” in 2012.
Publications / Research: Published 28 papers, and co-author of 3 books and 7 chapters of books. Carried out one clinical trial in 2012 and several research projects.
Teaching: Regular speaker and demonstrator at conferences and courses in regional anaesthesia at national and international level.
