Dr Puneet Ranote
Clinical interests
Dr Ranote's clinical interests include major trauma, orthopaedics and preoperative assessment.
Having been actively involved in running the anaesthetic clinics within the adult preoperative service since her appointment in 2012, she became clinical lead from April 2016-November 2018, during which time she also lead the preoperative workstream in the trust wide Transformation Project. She has co-lead the design and delivery of the successful "Get Set 4 Surgery" patient prehabilitation programme, a widely praised quality improvement initiative that was introduced at the Trust in November 2017.
She also co-leads website and social media management for the anaesthetic department.

Qualifications: MBChB FRCA
Dr Ranote qualified from Manchester Medical School in 2000. After a comprehensive training in general medicine including critical care, she took up her postgraduate anaesthetic training in Manchester and the north west of England. This included working in many of the major trauma centres and teaching hospitals within the region. She successfully completed a 6 month fellowship in regional anaesthesia and acute pain management in her final year of training, before moving to London in 2012 to take up her consultant post here at St George's.
