Dr Bunce studied at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London completing his studies in 1991. He received Cardiology registrar training in south west London before becoming a research registrar in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance at the Royal Brompton Hospital in 1998.

Dr Bunce joined St George’s as a consultant cardiologist in 2004. He has held positions as the Clinical Lead for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery at St George’s Hospital and was  the Training Programme Director for South West London Cardiology between 2009-2014.

Clinical interests

Dr Bunce holds level 3 certification in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance and manages the CMR service at St George’s. He has special interests in ischaemic heart disease, cardiac disease in pregnancy, myocarditis, valvular heart disease and advanced cardiac imaging.
