Dr Joy Barber has been a Consultant Radiologist at St George’s since 2017. She is current lead for Paediatric Radiology at St George’s – which absorbs most of her time, with a second subspecialty interest in GI imaging.

As well as co-lead for radiology research delivery (imaging for support for studies based outside radiology) she also has her own research interests: recently PI on an NIHR funded study into bowel motility, continuing to publish primary research with collaborators, and has been an advisory editor for the Clinical Radiology journal for 4 years.

If you want to chat to her about non-work, ask about water sports.

Research interests

Her areas of particular interest are paediatric inflammatory bowel disease, paediatric ENT imaging and skeletal dysplasia.
