Dr Baig is an academic consultant neurologist with a special interest in advanced treatment of movement disorders. He specialises in the use of deep brain stimulation and botulinum toxin to treat movement disorders, such as dystonia, tremor and Parkinson’s.

He started his neurology training on the Basic Neuroscience Training program in Oxford before developing his interest in movement disorders training in centres across the UK. This included specialist training in the East Midlands with clinical and research fellowships in Oxford, London and Bristol. To complement his clinical work, he researches novel methods of monitoring and treating movement disorders as an honorary Senior Lecturer at City St. George’s University.
