What is CENTRE?

The Cancer Experience Network – To Represent Everyone (CENTRE) is a engagement forum for cancer patients, carers, loved ones, representatives of local community support groups and healthcare professionals.

Here at St George’s we believe patient voices should be at the centre of cancer care.

What would being Member of CENTRE involve?

At the heart of being a member of CENTRE is contributing within your own wants and means. You can attend events, help to co-design projects in Cancer Services, or simply fill out anonymous surveys. Whether you’re a patient, loved one, or a voice in the community, we want to hear from you.

Launch Event 

CENTRE launches with its first quarterly event on the 14th October 2026, and you can find further details below:

  • Date: Wednesday 14th October 2026
  • Time: 15:00-18:00
  • Location: Hyde Park Room, St George’s Hospital, or on Microsoft Teams.

Local support groups and charities will be attending with stalls to show what they have to offer and answer any questions you may have.

Members of the Cancer Services team will present on projects that your voices have heavily influenced.

Break-out groups putting patient voices at the centre of discussion about the next steps on CENTRE’s journey.

Do I have to attend every event? You do not have to attend every event. You can participate as much or as little as you would like to.

How often do meetings run? The core meetings run quarterly.

I am unsure if I have the time to commit to CENTRE? Your time is valuable, and we know that other things take priority in life. You can participate how you like and when you like.
