What is CENTRE?

The Cancer Experience Network – To Represent Everyone (CENTRE) is an engagement forum for cancer patients, carers, loved ones, representatives of local community support groups and healthcare professionals.

Here at St George’s we believe patient voices should be at the centre of cancer care.

  • Influence and support change in Cancer Services to a level you are comfortable and able to contribute to.
  • Engage with patients and loved ones, support groups and healthcare professionals where your voice is at the centre of change.

What would being Member of CENTRE involve?

At the heart of being a member of CENTRE is contributing within your own wants and means. You can attend events, help to co-design projects in Cancer Services, or simply fill out anonymous surveys. Whether you’re a patient, loved one, or a voice in the community, we want to hear from you.

Our Next Event 

We launched with an incredibly successful launch event on the 14th October 2026, featuring stalls from support groups, presentations from members of Cancer Services, and breakout groups putting patient voices first.

Events run quarterly, with details of the next event listed below.

  • Date: Thursday 21st January 2027
  • Time: 15:30-18:00
  • Location: Hyde Park Room, St George’s Hospital.

Do I have to attend every event? You do not have to attend every event. You can participate as much or as little as you would like to.

How often do meetings run? The core meetings run quarterly.

I am unsure if I have the time to commit to CENTRE? Your time is valuable, and we know that other things take priority in life. You can participate how you like and when you like.
