MyCare is designed to be easy to use and help put you in control of your healthcare. See below for some commonly asked questions about MyCare.
MyCare is a secure online portal provided by the Trust. It allows you to: You can access MyCare from your computer, tablet or smartphone.

• Receive messages from your hospital care team
MyCare is available to patients aged 16 and over receiving care at the Trust.
Registering for MyCare
You can register once your first hospital appointment has been scheduled. If we have your mobile number, you will receive a text message with a link inviting you to register. The link will take you to the MyCare website where you can complete your registration and view your appointment details. Registration details will also be included in your appointment letter.
To register, you will need: You will create your own username and password during registration. For security reasons, we recommend that you do not use a shared email address or mobile number.
Open the text message from MyCare and select the registration link. Enter your details and then enter the 5-digit security code sent to you by SMS. If you do not receive a code, select “I did not receive a code” to request another. You will then be asked to provide consent to access your care information.
Yes. The text message includes an option to stop receiving further messages. You can also update your preferences once logged into the portal.
Not at present. This functionality may be introduced in the future.
Yes. Once you receive your text invitation, you can complete registration online without attending hospital.
It may take up to 7 days from the date your appointment is scheduled. Please check your junk or spam folder before contacting us.
Not at this time. Paper-free options will be introduced in the future.
Logging in to MyCare
You can log in via the MyCare page on the Trust website using your computer, tablet or smartphone.
Yes. If you have an NHS login, you can use it to access MyCare. If you log in using NHS login: For more information, see the NHS Digital Privacy Notice. For information about how we collect, use, retain and share your data, please see the Trust Privacy Notice.
Select “Forgot email” on the login page. Enter your NHS number and date of birth. If the details match, your registered email address will be displayed.
Select “Reset your email address” on the login page. You will receive a security code by text message to complete the update.
No. Updating your email in MyCare only changes your login email. To update your hospital record, please contact your GP practice and the hospital.
No. Changes made in the portal do not update your hospital record. If your details have changed, please contact your GP practice and the hospital directly.
Using MyCare
Test results and documents are written by clinicians and may contain medical terminology. If you do not understand the information, please discuss it at your next appointment. You can also visit: https://labtestsonline.org.uk/
For each appointment, you can view: You will also be notified if you have unread appointment letters.

Once registered, you can log in at any time. Online cancellation and rescheduling options are being introduced gradually.
MyCare can be accessed using: You may need the latest version of your browser. A PDF reader is required to view some documents. There is currently no dedicated MyCare app.

Security and access
Your information is secure as long as you keep your login details confidential. Always log out when using a shared device. You can currently view information from your hospital record only. GP records are held on a separate system and are not available in MyCare at this time.
Clinicians and GPs cannot log into your MyCare account. However, they can see the same clinical information in your hospital record when providing your care.
