Local mums say thank you to St George’s staff through Love4Legends
Our Emergency Department (ED) staff were surprised with a visit from the team behind Love4Legends on Tuesday (18 July).
Love4Legends is a new initiative started by a group of Muslim mums from south west London. It was set up after the Grenfell Tower fire as a way of saying thank you on behalf of the Muslim community to people working in the emergency services.
Gift hampers were delivered personally to our ED by Saima Islam Haq, Bina Ahmad, Humaira Ilham and Hanifah Ilham. The box of goodies and personalised St George’s cake were gratefully received by Tracy Holmes, Head of Nursing for ED; Matt Jarratt, ED General Manager; Phil Moss, ED Clinical Director and Paul Holmes, ED Consultant.
Our ED team were delighted by this wonderful gesture, and said that our night staff will be particularly pleased with the treats!
Matt Jarratt, ED General Manager, said: “This is a fantastic surprise – and one that all staff in the department really appreciates. Thank you to the Love4Legends team for thinking of us and giving us this lovely gift.”
