TUESDAY 13th February, was a proud day for St George’s as its leaders were honoured for their work and achievements within the NHS.

Chief Executive David Astley received his OBE from the Queen during a ceremony of investiture at Buckingham Palace. The award, one of those announced in the New Year’s honours list, was presented for services to the NHS.

At the same time in Birmingham, Trust Chair Naaz Coker was being awarded an honorary Doctorate from UCE Birmingham in recognition of her contributions to the NHS and to public life. She was on the platform at a prestigious ceremony at the city’s Symphony Hall alongside students receiving degrees and post-graduate awards from the university’s Faculty of Health.
