FLORAL AFFAIR: (l-r) Martyn Willis, chief executive of St George’s Hospital Charity, Marilyn Palmer-Williams, Kally Umanee, Fiona Chisholm, Araxi Kaskanian and Amy Lyddall-Fell
St George's Hospital received a visit from local family run firm, Nelsons, last week, when it donated vases of arranged flowers.
By way of marking its 150th anniversary, Nelsons – based in Wimbledon – donated eight vases of flowers, arranged by members of its staff team. The flowers were presented to Martyn Willis, Chief Executive of St George’s Hospital Charity and Andrea Wright, General Manager at St George’s on Thursday afternoon last week and will be displayed at various reception areas and clinics around the Hospital.
Bridget Streatfeild-James of Nelsons said: “We’re delighted to be able to make this donation to St George’s during our 150th anniversary year. We have many talented flower arrangers on our staff and they felt strongly about wanting to support their local hospital and its charity. This is a wonderful example of Nelsons in the local community.”
