The Inclusion Board is a new initiative launched in March 2026, designed to strengthen inclusive leadership and ensure that diverse perspectives and lived experiences help to inform Board-level discussions and decision-making.

Running alongside formal Board meetings, the programme will provide participants with exposure to governance, strategy, and executive-level leadership in a real-time environment.

The programme aims to:

  • Amplify diverse voices and ensure lived experience informs decision-making at the highest level.
  • Build leadership capability through insight into board-level governance, strategy, and inclusive leadership practice.
  • Develop a pipeline of talent for future senior and executive roles, supporting progression across the organisation.

By creating a dedicated space for diverse voices to contribute to Board-level discussions, the programme will help ensure that our leadership decisions are more inclusive, representative and informed by lived experience.

Vic Smith, Group Chief People Officer, said:

“By creating a dedicated space for diverse voices to contribute to Board-level discussions, the programme will help ensure that our leadership decisions are more inclusive, representative and informed by lived experience. I’m confident the new Inclusion Board will bring together diversity of thought and experience.”

The diverse group reflects the breadth of talent across our organisation and brings a wealth of insight, expertise and lived experience.
