James Hope ward
James Hope Ward is a specialist elective cardiology ward for day case patients located on the 1st floor of the Atkinson Morley Wing at St George’s.
You will be looked after by a team of nurses, therapists and doctors who are highly experienced in caring for patients with cardiology conditions.
James Hope has a day unit with 3 single sex bays and 3 reclining chairs in each bay for day patients. Visitors cannot accompany the patients in the day unit but may make use of the café on the ground floor of Atkinson Morley Wing, or the restaurant on the 1st floor Lanesborough Wing.
James Hope is linked to a 7 bedded overnight elective unit, the Charles Pumphrey Unit; open Monday to Saturday for patients requiring an overnight stay for more complex procedures.
Visitors are not able to accompany day case patients admitted to the day unit. Patients admitted as an inpatient to stay overnight in the Charles Pumphrey Unit are allowed with a maximum of two visitors to each patient from 07:30 to 20:00.
No children under the age of 10 are allowed in the Charles Pumphrey Unit.
