Clinical interests

Pamela Appleton is the Neuromuscular Care Advisor for Surrey and a registered Occupational Therapist. She has special interests in fatigue management and vocational rehabilitation, as well as the impact of muscle wasting conditions on quality of life. She led on the development of the MDUK Fatigue Management resource for people with neuromuscular conditions.

Professional profile

Pamela is an experienced Occupational Therapist working with people with neurological conditions in a variety of settings, most recently in community rehabilitation. She established the role of the Surrey Neuromuscular Care Advisor at St George’s Hospital in 2020. She is currently completing her MSc in Advanced Professional Practice in Neuro Rehabilitation, with a research project exploring the impact of disease modifying therapies on quality of life in adults with SMA.
