Suruchi Pandey is a Consultant Gynaecologist at St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust specialising in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. Suruchi is the lead for the Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain service at St. George's Hospital.
Besides her specialist interest which is endometriosis, adenomyosis and pelvic pain, Suruchi also specialises in minimally invasive management of heavy menstrual bleeding, ovarian cysts, adhesions, painful intercourse and fertility surgery.
Suruchi specialises in advanced gynaecological ultrasound for diagnosis of all Gynaecological Conditions including Endometriosis and Adenomyosis.
Suruchi is also a Senior Lecturer for St. George's, University of London. She is the University Lead for Obstetrics and Gynaecology Education.
Professional profile
Suruchi received undergraduate training at Banaras Hindu University in India. She received the University Gold Medal for graduating at the top of her class, was awarded a distinction in Obs and Gynae, and the Association of Surgeons of India Prize for receiving the highest marks in Surgery in her MBBS class.
Suruchi completed her postgraduate training from the Oxford Deanery. After completing her training, Suruchi undertook a two year fellowship in Advanced Endoscopic Surgery in Surrey.
Suruchi has presented in numerous national and international conferences. She has won many awards for her oral and surgical video presentations including the prestigious BSGE Karl Stortz Golden Laparoscope award.
Suruchi is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an Oxford Medical Education Fellow. She has completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from the University of Oxford. Suruchi has been a part of the teaching faculty of regional, national and international laparoscopy training courses. She regularly teaches undergraduate students at St. George's and undertakes surgical training courses for postgraduate students. She co-initiated the Ledingham Lecture series in Oxford which aims to inspire medical trainees to excellence in their academic, clinical and personal endeavours.
