Clinical interests
Ms Amarouche is a sub-specialised neurosurgeon with a practice in anterior skull base surgery (including surgery for pituitary tumours) and the management of adult hydrocephalus.
She completed medical school in Algeria and undertook a masters degree at University College London in Clinical Neurology. She trained in neurosurgery on the South Thames Training Programme and has completed specialist post-CCT fellowships in pituitary surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford and in Adult Hydrocephalus at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Queen Square.
She speaks Arabic, Berber, French, Italian, Spanish and English.
She leads a hydrocephalus clinic at St George's providing a specialist regional service for managing complex cases of CSF disorders.
She is a member of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons, The British Skull-Base Society and The British Neuro-Endoscopy Society.
