Consultant Paediatric ENT surgeon

Ms Lulu Ritchie is a consultant at St Georges Hospital in London, specialising in the field of Children’s Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgery.

Ms Ritchie completed her Bachelor of Science at St Andrews University in 2007 and received her medical degree from the University of Manchester in 2010. In 2016 she was awarded an MD in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Imperial College London for her work in the aerodynamics of the upper airway in children and adults.

Having completed her surgical training in London at Imperial College NHS Trust, The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital and completed her 1-year surgical fellowship at the world-renowned Great Ormond Street (GOSH), she has joined the paediatric team at St Georges.

Ms Ritchie has a special interest in humanitarian work to ensure equal access to great healthcare for all children. She was awarded the Royal Society of Medicine Otology prize for her trip with BRINOS which connects British and Nepali surgeons to improve ear health in Southern Nepal. Once a year she travels to Northern Tanzania with the AGA-ENT team to train surgical teams in Paediatric emergency airway management as part a drive to improve safety for children undergoing routine surgery in sub-Saharan Africa.

She is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons England and a member of the British Paediatric Association of Paediatric Otolaryngology (BAPO)
