Mrs Wood is a consultant with a specialist interest in colposcopy and hysteroscopy. Her clinical interests include diagnostic and treatment colposcopy and diagnostic outpatient hysteroscopy, as well as IUCD and IUS fitting.

Mrs Wood is an accredited colposcopist with the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP), and an accredited hysteroscopist with the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy.
