Clinical interests
Interested in providing evidence based care to patients with all types of heart failure both in the acute inpatient setting as well as in nurse-led clinics. Interest also in developing end of life care for heart failure patients.
Currently involved in several heart failure trials including Relax EU, Transition and Attract. Teaching for nurses on heart failure both in the UK, and as part of a teaching partnership with the Global Health Alliance training doctors and nurses in India to try and improve access to evidence based heart failure care.
Professional profile
I have been a cardiology nurse since qualifying in 1999, working my way through to the Senior Charge Nurse post on Belgrave Ward at St George’s. Most recently I became a clinical nurse specialist in Heart Failure in 2011. I see patients both as part of an inpatient service and also run nurse led clinics for medication titration, symptom management and patient education.
I have also taught nurses on heart failure both in the UK, and as part of a teaching partnership with the Global Health Alliance training doctors and nurses in India to try and improve access to evidence based heart failure care.
