Mr Mark Lynch is a full time Consultant Urological Surgeon at Croydon University Hospital (CUH) and St George’s Hospital, London. He is currently Clinical Lead for Urology, Chair of the Cancer MDT and Business Unit lead for Urology, General Surgery and Orthopaedics at CUH and Consultant in the Endourology Unit at St George’s Hospital London.

Mark has developed skills in all aspects of stone surgery and endourology and is a high volume surgeon. Mark is currently an Educational Supervisor and plans to become Programme Director for ST training for South London later this year.

Mark read Biochemistry at Imperial College London and became an Associate of the Royal College of Science before reading medicine at St George’s Hospital.

His postgraduate training in surgery and urology took place in the London Deanery including St George’s Hospital, King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London. Mark has also has a specialist interest in prostate cancer diagnosis with the use of MRI directed prostate biopsies as well as bipolar techniques for the management of prostate symptoms.

He has presented and published 40 international papers and received awards for academic work from the European Association of Urology, The British Association of Urological Surgeons, The Royal Society of Medicine and Glaxo Wellcome.

Mark spends his spare time with his young family and enjoys camping, rugby and swimming before work.
