Mr Gary Maytham

Mr Maytham is a consultant vascular surgeon at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. His specialist interests include the open and endovascular management of peripheral arterial disease, infra-renal aortic aneurysmal disease and superficial venous conditions, as well as vascular and torso trauma.

Mr Maytham qualified in Southern Africa in 1996 and later obtained an MPhil at Sheffield University in 2005 for his vascular research on the management of chronic moderate ischaemia. He undertook vascular surgery training in the South West Thames region, as well as undertaking trauma fellowships both at the Royal London Hospital and internationally.

He was appointed as an honorary vascular consultant at St George’s Vascular Institute in 2012, whilst still serving in the Royal Army Medical Corps. He resigned from the British Army in 2017 to take up a substantive consultancy post at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He currently is the Network Lead for the St Georges Vascular Network, and provides vascular care to patients as the Spoke Vascular Consultant at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill
