Professional profile
Mr Nielsen graduated from St George's Hospital Medical School and undertook his orthopaedic training in south west Thames. To complement his general orthopaedic training, he has 18 months specialist training in foot and ankle surgery and also spent two years in a centre for complex trauma and limb reconstruction.
He is also an examiner for medical school finals examinations and supervisor of orthopaedic trainees at St George's. With an interest in training, he regularly teaches at national education meetings.
Mr Nielsen has written papers on a range of trauma and foot and ankle subjects including clavicle fractures, hip fractures, major injuries and Achilles tendon problems. He has presented his work both nationally and internationally.
