Ms Rashmi Singh
Clinical interests
Miss Singh is a Consultant Urological Surgeon, specialising in the management of male and female lower urinary tract symptoms, lower and upper tract endoscopy, and the management of urinary stone disease. She has a joint NHS post between Kingston and St George’s Hospitals.
Professional profile
Miss Singh qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals Medical School. She went on to have a diverse Urological training in the South Thames Region. She was awarded an MD in 2005 for her research in Prostate Cancer Genetics. Her Consultant appointment followed in 2006. Rashmi works across St Georges, Kingston and Surbiton Hospitals. Notably she is one of very few female Consultant Urologists in the South West London and Surrey area.
She offers a comprehensive service in General Urology and is one of the lead clinicians in the St George’s Stone unit. She manages patients with complex stone disease and offers Diagnostic upper tract endoscopy, Ureterorenoscopy with Laser and Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy for the treatment of renal and ureteric stones
In addition to her experience and expertise in General Urology and Stone Disease, Miss Singh also has an interest in female urological problems including UTI’s, incontinence and painful bladder.
Miss Singh is the Endourology Governance Lead at St Georges. She actively participates in research and quality improvement projects . She is Audit and Governance lead at Kingston Hospital. She is an investigator for key NIH funded multi-centre clinical trials in Endourology.
She has publications in Urology journals and has written chapters for Textbooks of Urology
She is involved with the training and supervision of medical students and urology trainees. She is an Educational Supervisor for Foundation Year doctors
