Lead Genetic Counsellor / Macmillan Consultant Genetic Counsellor for Cancer

Kelly is a Consultant Genetic Counsellor at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She is the Lead Genetic Counsellor for the South West Thames Regional Genetics Service. Kelly qualified as a Genetic Counsellor in 2004 with an MSc from Sarah Lawrence College in New York, following a BSc at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She is registered with the GCRB (Genetic Counsellor Registration Board) and is a sign-off mentor and assessor for registration portfolios. Kelly is completing a part-time PhD at the University of Southampton. Her clinical specialty is cancer genomics.

Clinical Interests

Kelly is a member of the British Society for Genetic Medicine, Cancer Genetics Group, Association of Genetic Nurse Counsellors and the Genomics England Clinical Interpretation Partnership (GeCIP) for inherited cancer predisposition. She is registered with the Genetic Counsellor Registration Board and has acted as a sign-off mentor, portfolio assessor, and member of other committees for the board.
