Clinical interests
Kelly is a member of the British Society for Genetic Medicine, Cancer Genetics Group, Association of Genetic Nurse Counsellors and the Genomics England Clinical Interpretation Partnership (GeCIP) for inherited cancer predisposition. She is registered with the Genetic Counsellor Registration Board and has acted as a sign-off mentor, portfolio assessor, and member of other committees for the board.
Professional profile
Kelly completed her Honours BSc at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She worked at the Familial GI Cancer Registry in Toronto, then completed her Master of Science in Human Genetics at Sarah Lawrence College in New York and achieved certification by the American Board of Genetic Counsellors. After working at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, she relocated to London, working at Barts/Queen Mary University of London managing national breast cancer genetic research studies and as a clinical Genetic Counsellor at The Royal Marsden. Kelly joined St George’s in 2016, where her role involves a split between leadership and management and a clinical specialty in cancer genetics.
