Mr Hugo Guthrie

- Arthroscopic sports knee surgery- meniscal repair, ligament reconstruction, cartilage procedures
- Young adult failing knee- osteotomy around the knee, partial knee replacement
- Arthritis- partial and total knee replacement
- Lower limb trauma- long bone nailing and periarticular reconstruction
Lt Col Hugo Guthrie graduated from Edinburgh University in 2000 and completed his specialist training in London. As a serving officer in the British Army he has completed operation tours of Iraq and Afghanistan. He was appointed with a MBE (Member of Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) following his operation tour of Iraq in 2005.
Mr Guthrie undertook fellowships in AO trauma at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. He has also completed a number of knee and lower limb fellowships. In addition to being appointed as a consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at St George’s Hospital in 2015, he also has commitments at the Elective Orthopaedic Centre in Epsom, and as a consultant to the Armed Services he conducts specialist clinics at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court.
