ED Head of Nursing


Ms Holmes trained at The University of Surrey and gained a diploma in adult nursing in 2003.  She completed a BSc Hons in 2009 from The City University London in Emergency Nursing and has since completed MSc modules in advanced nursing practice.

Ms Holmes has worked in various hospitals in Surrey and London for the last 14 years including The Royal London Emergency Department (ED)and St Thomas’ Site Management Department.  She is the Head of Nursing for the ED at St George’s. Her roles include leading the nursing and medical assistant teams within the ED, co-leading the department’s clinical governance and ensuring our patients receive safe and excellent care.  She sits on St George’s Medicines Optimisation Committee and the Violence & Aggression Workforce Team prompting zero tolerance to aggressive behaviour in the ED thereby ensuring patient and staff safety.
