Consultant Rheumatologist

Dr Tazeen Ahmed has been a Rheumatology Consultant since 2013 gaining a Focussed Certificate in Rheumatology Ultrasound from Canterbury Christchurch University in 2015. She is a King’s College London medical graduate with MScs in both Immunology and Rheumatology.

She completed a PhD entitled Translational Medicine in Rheumatology : Exploiting Melanocortin receptors in 2013. She has run an early arthritis clinic with an associated Ultrasound list since 2015. She has recently moved to St George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where she is setting up a new Early Arthritis Service with Ultrasound as part of the initial assessment.

Her clinical interests include Early Inflammatory Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Rheumatology Ultrasound.
