Clinical interests

Dr Samantha Keeling is a Consultant Geriatrician and Physician at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Her specialist interests include frailty in urgent care settings, community geriatrics, rehabilitation and medical care of residents in care homes.

Professional profile

Dr Keeling undertook her medical training at St George’s, University of London, qualifying in 2007, completing her postgraduate training in Geriatric and General Medicine in London and the South East. She has a special interest in medical education and has held an honorary lecturer position at St George’s, University of London.

Dr Keeling is part of the OPAL (Older People’s Assessment and Liaison) team at St George’s Hospital, working to provide a coordinated approach in managing frail patients presenting acutely with common geriatric syndromes to the St George’s Hospital. She also provides clinical input to bed based rehabilitation services at Ronald Gibson House and Mary Seacole Ward, Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton. She is clinical lead for care homes at St George’s Hospital and is also a member of the trust Mortality Monitoring Committee.
