Mr Lee Patient
Clinical interests
Lee Patient has been a Consultant Nurse in advanced practice in the Emergency Department (ED) at St George’s since 2018. He is responsible for developing and leading the advanced practitioner team in ED.
Lee works clinically as an advanced practitioner in ED. He is a credentialed advanced practitioner with the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. As a Consultant Nurse the other parts of his role are leadership and management, education, research and development.
Lee is the Trust Lead for advancing practice at St George’s and Joint Lead across the gesh hospital group. He is also the Trust Lead for independent and supplementary prescribing.
Professional profile
Lee trained as a registered nurse at Guy’s Hospital in London and has had a clinical career in a variety of roles in emergency care since 1997.
Lee has Master’s education in research and advanced practice. He is an instructor in Advanced Life Support, Advanced Trauma Nursing Course (ATNC), Generic Instructor Course and is an ATNC instructor course instructor.
Lee is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London, City St George’s University and Kingston University. He regularly teaches and assesses on modules including advanced clinical practice and prescribing. He has presented on the topic of advanced practice at a national and international level.
