Mr Lee Patient
Clinical interests
Lee Patient has been a Consultant Nurse in Advanced Clinical Practice in the Emergency Department at St George’s Hospital in London since 2018, responsible for developing and leading the Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) service in ED.
Lee works 50% clinically as an ACP, seeing patients in the resuscitation, majors and urgent care areas of the ED. The other parts of his role as a Consultant Nurse are education, research and service development.
He is the lead for ACP workforce development at St George’s, developing ACP roles and services and developing a Trust ACP strategy.
Professional profile
Lee trained as a registered nurse at Guy’s Hospital in London and has had a clinical career in a variety of roles in emergency care for 23 years.
Lee achieved a Master’s in Research in 2014 and also has achieved a PGDip in advanced Clinical Practice and BSc (Hons) in Independent Practice. He is an Advanced Life Support and Advanced Trauma Nursing course instructor and regularly teaches and assesses on these courses.
Lee is an Honorary Lecturer at St George’s University of London and regularly teaches and assesses on courses including advanced clinical practice and prescribing. He has presented on the topic of advanced practice at a national and international level.
