Dr Jan Coebergh
Clinical interests
Dr Coebergh is a consultant neurologist with special interests in movement disorders, cognitive neurology and functional symptoms. He runs a cognitive and functional symptoms specialist clinic at St George’s on Fridays as well as a Movement Disorders clinic at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital.
He also participates in the Huntington’s disease research clinic at St George’s. He has a special interest in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), having been trained in management, and is currently developing a DBS service at St George’s.
He has research interests in cognitive neurology and neuropsychiatry and is currently following a cohort of patients with musical hallucinations, investigating imitation and utilisation behaviour in major depression and running a study researching auditory agnosia for environmental sounds in Alzheimer’s dementia.
