Professional profile

I have been Consultant Nephrologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George's University Hospitals since 2019. Part of my time is spent in management roles: I am the Care Group Lead for Renal Medicine and Divisional Safety Lead for MedCard. In my clinical work, I look after renal inpatients and do specialist clinics in diabetic kidney disease, home dialysis and renal transplant here at St George's. I also see general nephrology patients on Fridays at Kingston Hospital.

My research interests include kidney disease caused by scleroderma (systemic sclerosis) and other connective tissue diseases. I was an undergraduate at Trinity College Cambridge and then completed medical training at St George’s University of London in 2007. My specialist training in nephrology was at the Royal Free and Royal London Hospitals and I did my PhD at the UCL Centre for Connective Tissue Diseases.
